PIEDMONT ARTS ACCEPTS NOMINATIONS FOR CLYDE HOOKER AWARD

Piedmont Arts is now accepting nominations from the public for the Ninth Annual Clyde Hooker Award. Nominations are open to both individuals and businesses that are involved in and support the arts in our community. The award recipients, chosen by committee, will be honored at a special reception in May. Proceeds from this event will directly benefit the Hufford Memorial Arts Scholarship Fund, whose 2011 beneficiaries will be announced at the reception.

The Clyde Hooker Award was established in 2003 to recognize individuals and businesses in Martinsville and Henry County who have made significant contributions to the arts and culture in our area. The award is named in honor of Clyde Hooker for his generous support of the arts.
