Expressions 2012 Call for Entries

Lynwood Artists and Piedmont Arts invite local and regional artists to enter work in their annual open-entry art exhibit, Expressions 2012.

Expressions 2012 is open to artists of all levels who reside within a 100-mile radius of Martinsville, Virginia and/or those who are members of Lynwood Artists or Piedmont Arts. Cash prizes will be awarded in six categories, as well as Best In Show and special awards. 

To enter work in Expressions 2012 artists should pick up a prospectus at Piedmont Arts, 215 Starling Ave., Martinsville, or download one here. The prospectus contains all rules and regulations for entering work in this exhibit as well as an entry form, which must be attached to all pieces entered in Expressions 2012. 

Artwork Receiving for Expressions 2012 is open to all artists on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 10 am – 1 pm at Piedmont Arts. Current Lynwood Artists members or artists entering work in the Student category may also drop off work at Piedmont Arts on Thursday, May 3 from 4 – 6 pm.

Expressions 2012 will be on display in the Piedmont Arts galleries May 19 through July 7, 2012.  An Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held at Piedmont Arts on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  Please RSVP attendance to this event to bbradshaw@piedmontarts.org.  Babysitting is available at this event by RSVP only.
