From the History of Baseball to the 'Bus to Broadway,' Piedmont Arts Announces 2012-13 Season

On the heels of the organization's 50th anniversary, Piedmont Arts announces a new season full of visual arts, performances and special events, ranging from a look at the history of Negro League baseball to bus trips taking passengers to Broadway shows.

"This season is the most exciting we have had in a long time," said Barbara Parker, Piedmont Arts director of programs. "We are offering a wider variety of events that will bring people into the galleries and local venues like the Rives Theatre and Martinsville High School Auditorium. We'll also be traveling to venues like the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and the Durham Performing Arts Center for some amazing shows."

Bus to Broadway: Jersey Boys

Take the Bus to Broadway for the Grammy Award-winning musical, Jersey Boys – the story of how The Four Seasons became one of the greatest successes in pop music history. Trip includes show admission and bus trip to and from Durham Performing Arts Center, plus an optional box dinner. Guests may bring the beverage of their choice along for the ride.
