Teenagers Run Piedmont Arts During Museum's Teen Takeover
Piedmont Arts will be run by high school students on Saturday, October 11, as the museum's Teen Arts Council (TAC) holds its first-ever Teen Takeover. This free event will be held from 5 – 8 pm and will be totally run by area students.
Local high school students are invited to attend the museum’s Teen Takeover and enjoy tours, music and games led by TAC members for a “true by-teens-for-teens experience.” Chick-fil-A, a sponsor for the event, will provide iced coffees and other light refreshments.
According to Heidi Pinkston, director of exhibitions and TAC coordinator, “Piedmont Arts is excited to turn the museum over to our Teen Arts Council, a creative group of young leaders who will be providing a great night of fun during their first Teen Takeover.”
The principal purpose of Piedmont Arts’ Teen Arts Council is to advise the museum’s board and staff on ways to involve the teen community in Piedmont Arts programming.
