Piedmont Arts Seeks Nominations for Clyde Hooker Awards


Piedmont Arts is seeking nominations from the public for the 2015 Clyde Hooker Awards. Nominees should be businesses or individuals that are involved in and support the arts in Martinsville and Henry County. Award recipients will be honored at a special reception at the museum in June. Donations accepted at this event will directly benefit the Hufford Memorial Arts Scholarship Fund, whose 2015 beneficiaries will also be announced at the reception.

About The Clyde Hooker Award
Piedmont Arts' Clyde Hooker Award was established in 2003 to recognize businesses and individuals in Martinsville and Henry County that have made significant contributions to the arts and culture in our area. The award is named in honor of J. Clyde Hooker, Jr., for his generous support of the arts.

To nominate a business or individual, complete a nomination form and return it to Piedmont Arts, 215 Starling Ave., Martinsville, VA 24112 by Friday, May 1, 2015. Nomination forms can be downloaded here and are available at Piedmont Arts.
