Carlisle School’s ZipZapZop Performs at Preschool in the Galleries
Members of ZipZapZop engaged and entertained over 150 area preschoolers with an original play about having fun in the snow and Valentine’s Day.
Fifteen Italian exchange students from Carlisle School also attended ZipZapZop’s performance and then toured the galleries, where they explored the exhibits: Fortune, Courage, Love: Arts of Africa’s Akan and Kuba Kingdoms from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts; Kind Cuts, featuring woodcuts by Richmond-based artist Dennis Winston; and Current Brushstrokes, featuring paintings by Patrick County native Pepper Martin.
Italian exchange students from Carlisle School attended Preschool in the Galleries at Piedmont Arts on Wednesday and then toured the museum’s exhibits. |
Piedmont Arts Preschool in the Galleries is designed to foster a love of the performing and visual arts at a young age. All area preschool classes and homeschool students are invited to attend. Performances are always free of charge to students and schools.
