Piedmont Arts Announces New Board Members

Piedmont Arts is excited to welcome four new members to the museum’s Board of Directors. Each new member will serve a three year term ending June 30, 2019.
“We are excited to welcome these four new individuals to the Piedmont Arts board,” said Executive Director Kathy Rogers. “They each offer unique qualities that will be beneficial to the long-term success of the museum.”
The museum’s newly appointed Board members are:
Mr. Ronnie Eugene Fultz IIIRonnie is Assistant Manager, Supply Chain at Hooker Furniture, where he manages forecasting and demand activities, purchasing and planning. He is a member of the United Way’s Board of Directors and is the Director of Marketing for the Millennials of Martinsville-Henry County. His mother, Denise Fultz, is a past member of the Piedmont Arts Board.
Mr. Julian Rutherford Mei
Julian is an artist and is in the process of obtaining his real estate license. A Martinsville native, he recently returned to the area and is eager to become more involved with the arts in the community. Julian spent most of his life in New York City, where he was around or part of the art world and has experience in curating and gallery exhibition.
Ms. Susan SmithSusan is a Sales Representative for Portraits South of Raleigh, N.C. She is a native of Rocky Mount, N.C., and a graduate of Salem College in Winston-Salem. She is a member of Martinsville’s Garden Study Club and Martinsville Area Community Foundation’s Women in Philanthropy. She also volunteers her time at Carlisle School and Christ Episcopal Church. Susan and her husband, Will, have been long-time supporters of Piedmont Arts and she has been instrumental in fundraising for the museum’s Kathryn Ascough Smith Arts Education Fund.
Donna is Senior VP/Chief Compliance Officer at River Community Bank. She will join the Piedmont Arts Board of Directors as Second Vice President. Donna has held management positions in banking and manufacturing since 1993. She has served on the Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors since 2010, where she is part of the Chamber’s Executive Board. Through River Community Bank, she has volunteered with groups throughout the community. She has been instrumental in securing contributions from River Community Bank to sponsor Piedmont Arts events, such as Expressions and several of the museum’s Family Days.
