Piedmont Arts is excited to welcome Rebecca (Becki) Williams Vasquez as the museum’s new Education Coordinator.

Becki, a Martinsville native, has 13 years experience as an educator. Prior to coming to Piedmont Arts, she was a Curriculum/Projects Coordinator and US Teacher at Carlisle School, where she integrated technology into her classroom, created a holistic learning environment for students and professional development for faculty, and sponsored the debate club. Becki holds a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of William & Mary.

Becki says working at Piedmont Arts is a dream come true. "With a background in education and classroom teaching, I hope to continue to inspire a love of arts and creativity in our community. I look forward to working with students and teachers from all levels, preschool through high school, to create enriching and engaging arts experiences."

"Piedmont Arts is fortunate to have someone of Becki’s experience to fill the role of the museum’s Education Coordinator,” said Executive Director Kathy Rogers. “She is a highly qualified educator with a background in history, English and cultural studies and I have every confidence that she will grow our educational outreach programming, which is critical to the museum’s mission of inspiring and engaging the community through the arts.”
