"Expressions" Artwork Pick Up Saturday at Piedmont Arts
People’s Choice Award voting open through Wednesday at 5 pm
Lynwood Artists’ and Piedmont Arts’ annual open-entry exhibit Expressions 2016 will close on Friday, July 22 at 5 pm. Guests are encouraged to visit Piedmont Arts before Friday to view the 230 works by 121 local and regional artists that are on display.
“We had a great turnout this year,” said Director of Exhibitions Heidi Pinkston. “We thank all the talented artists who entered work and the hundreds of guests who have visited Piedmont Arts over the summer to see this exhibit.”
Saturday, July 23 • 10 am – 2 pm
Artists who have work on display in Expressions 2016 should pick up their work on Saturday, July 23, between 10 am – 2 pm at the museum’s rear entrance. The museum will not be open to the public on July 23 and the front doors will be locked.
Artists should be aware that all work must remain on display at Piedmont Arts through July 22 and must be picked up on July 23 at the designated time. Piedmont Arts will not assume responsibility for artwork that is left in the gallery after 2 pm on the designated pickup date. For complete rules, artists may see the Expressions 2016 Entry Form.
People’s Choice Award
Voting open through Wednesday, July 20 • 5 pm
Voting for the Expressions 2016 People’s Choice Award will remain open at the museum through Wednesday, July 20 at 5 pm. Guests are encouraged to cast a vote for this coveted award, which comes with a $50 prize sponsored by Lynwood Artists and Piedmont Arts.
“The People’s Choice Award is a great honor,” said Pinkston. “It’s a way for the public, and fellow artists, to recognize one lucky artist for their skill and imagination.”
The winner of the People’s Choice Award will be announced on Friday, July 22.
During the final week of Expressions 2016, Piedmont Arts will be open Tuesday – Friday from 10 am – 5 pm. Admission is free.
