CHILL and Piedmont Arts Teaming Up for SOVA’s Got Talent

First-ever talent contest coming to MHC

Singers, dancers, comedians, magicians and other performers in Martinsville-Henry County, Danville, Pittsylvania County, Franklin and Patrick counties, get ready for Southern Virginia’s version of America’s Got Talent. Piedmont Arts and CHILL are teaming up to bring SOVA’s Got Talent to the community on April 8, 2017 at Martinsville High School.

Auditions

If you think you’ve got what it takes to win, you’re invited to audition on one of the following dates (all auditions will be held at Patrick Henry Community College’s Walker Fine Arts Center):
  • Grades 6-12: Wednesday, January 4, 6 pm
  • Ages 18 and up: Thursday, January 5, 6 pm
  • Makeup date for all ages: January 21, 10 am
“We know that there are many talented individuals in our area and we’re excited to showcase that talent,” said Piedmont Arts Executive Director Kathy Rogers. “We have brought the community Dancing for the Arts, and now we are teaming up with CHILL to bring SOVA’s Got Talent to our area.”

“Our mission is all about giving young people opportunities to make the community better and find positive ways to express themselves,” said Amanda Hendricks, CHILL Coordinator for Martinsville and Henry County. “SOVA’s Got Talent is a great way to provide students in grades 6 through 12, as well as adults in our region the opportunity to show off their talents.”

All funds raised through SOVA’s Got Talent will be used to support programs at CHILL and Piedmont Arts.
