Art @ Happy Hour, Family Day Explore Salt Marsh Exhibit

The Salt Marsh Suite dance ensemble will perform during Art @ Happy Hour on Feb. 17 and
Salt Marsh Family Day on Feb. 18 at Piedmont Arts. Both events are open to the public and are admission free.

Piedmont Arts will host two special events in conjunction with the museum’s current exhibit Salt Marsh Suite, an inter-media installation that transforms the galleries into a marsh habitat using video and sound.

Art @ Happy Hour
Friday, February 17 • 5 – 7 pm • Piedmont Arts
Guests are invited to view the museum’s latest exhibits in a casual, fun setting. Enjoy a performance by the Salt Marsh Suite dance ensemble. Artists Carol Burch-Brown of Salt Marsh Suite and Russell Hart will discuss their work. Complimentary wine and refreshments will be available. Everyone welcome. Admission is free.



Saturday, February 18 • 11 am – 1 pm • Piedmont Arts 
Kids of all ages are invited to enjoy crafts, snacks and a performance by the Salt Marsh Suite dance ensemble, accompanied by students from Carlisle School’s Zip Zap Zop Theatre Co. Complimentary snacks and refreshments will be available. Everyone welcome. Admission is free.

Activities include:

Crafts include:
• Create a salt marsh diorama
• Create binoculars to spy creatures in the salt marsh
• Hands-on salt marsh activity with Virginia Museum of Natural History
• Glaze tiles that will be part of a permanent fixture in Piedmont Arts' Public Art Garden
