Call to Artists: Expressions 2017


Entry forms now available for 
Lynwood Artists’ and Piedmont Arts’ annual exhibit

Entry forms for Expressions 2017, an annual open-entry exhibition presented by Lynwood Artists and Piedmont Arts, are now available at Piedmont Arts and online at PiedmontArts.org. Artists interested in entering work should review this year's entry form before the artwork entry dates in May.

Artists living within a 100-mile radius of Martinsville, Va., or artists who are members of Piedmont Arts or Lynwood Artists, are invited to enter work in Expressions 2017.

All artists may enter work at Piedmont Arts, located at 215 Starling Ave., on Saturday, May 6 from 10 am – 2 pm. No more than two works may be submitted by each artist and all works must adhere to the guidelines found in the Expressions 2017 entry form. Artists who are members of Lynwood Artists or students in grades 9 – 12 may also enter work on Thursday, May 4 from 4 – 6 pm at the museum. 

Expressions 2017 is a judged exhibition with cash prizes awarded for first, second and third place in seven categories, as well as purchase awards, the Lynwood Artists Award and Best In Show. This year’s exhibition will be judged by Diane Kendrick, Chair of the Art Department and Professor of Art at Averett University.

Expressions 2017 will be on display at Piedmont Arts May 20 – July 21, 2017. A reception and awards ceremony for artists will be held Friday, May 19 at 6:30 pm at the museum.
