“Expressions 2018” Artwork Pick Up Saturday at Piedmont Arts


Guests are encouraged to visit Piedmont Arts by Friday, July 20, 2018 for a last look at Expressions 2018. With 259 works by more than 140 regional artists on display, this year’s exhibit is a must-see.

Presented annually by Lynwood Artists and Piedmont Arts, Expressionsis a judgedexhibition that awards artists with prizes in seven entry categories, as well as purchase awards, the Lynwood Artists Award and Best In Show. This year’s exhibition was judged by Kimberly C. Piland, Exhibition Coordinator at Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, Virginia.

Artwork Pick Up
Artists who have work on display in Expressions 2018 should pick up their work on Saturday, July 21, 2018 between 10 am – 2 pm at the museum’s rear entrance. The museum will not be open to the public on July 21.

Artists should be aware that all work must remain on display at Piedmont Arts through July 20 and must be picked up on July 21 during the designated time period. Piedmont Arts will not assume responsibility for artwork that is left in the gallery after 2 pm on the designated pickup date. People’s Choice Award
Voting for the Expressions 2018 People’s Choice Award will remain open at the museum through Thursday, July 19, 2018. Guests are encouraged to cast a vote for this coveted award, which comes with a $50 prize sponsored by Lynwood Artists and Piedmont Arts.

The winner of the People’s Choice Award will be announced on July 19 during Art @ Happy Hour, a free event which takes place from 5 – 7 pm at the museum. Lynwood Artists President Jessie Ward will lead an informal gallery talk during the event and light refreshments will be available.
