Handmade Holiday Market at Piedmont Arts, Dec. 7 – 8

Piedmont Arts will host its first-ever Handmade Holiday Market this weekend in the museum’s #ShopLocal Gallery.

Featuring glass ornaments, fine jewelry, accessories and gifts, this festive market not only provides a great place to shop for holiday presents, but encourages community members to shop local this holiday season by showcasing handmade goods by local and regional artisans.

“Most of the artists featured in this year’s market are from Martinsville-Henry County and the surrounding areas,” said Director of Exhibitions and Marketing Bernadette Moore. “This is a great chance to find one-of-a-kind gifts while supporting the artists who call our community home.”

Featured artisans include: Aleen Wilson, Valerie Barnes and Karen Colletti; Betty Blessin; Charles Hill; David Lunt; Doris Falls; Ed Dolinger; Nancy Clark; Pat Coleman; Susan Weeks, Tara Compton; and Terry Mitchell.

Piedmont Arts' Handmade Holiday Market will take place Friday, December 7 from 3 – 5 pm and Saturday, December 8 from 11 am to 2 pm. Guest can enjoy complimentary cider and refreshments. Admission is free.
